Yes, they are all doctors, but their areas of specialization have helped to separate them from one another because the human body is so intricate and the field of medicine is so large, it is impossible for one person to learn everything about them.

For this reason, there are many categories of medical professionals who treat the complete human body, both internal and external.

These Doctors are trained to specialize in the treatment of certain areas of the body and to gain mastery. There are two different types of medical degrees: a Doctor of Medicine (MD) and a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO). A Doctor of Medicine focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Internist or Physician
Internal medicine or general internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of internal diseases.

Surgeon

Dermatologists are health professionals primarily focused on diagnosing conditions associated with the skin, hair, and nails.

Dietitian/Dietician
A dietitian is a specialist in human nutrition and the regulation of diet, also known as dietetics.
